Description
-
The purpose of Asstuce is to provide an environment for use in
teaching and production, as a tool to help learn and implement Finite
State Machines in hardware. In order to do so, the environment allows
batch as well as step by step execution of several algorithms employed
during FSM synthesis and optimization. Currently, we have available
two stand-alone programs for performing heuristic state encoding
simultaneously with state minimization of FSMs described in the KISS2
format, and a exact state minimizer for use with completely specified
FSMs only. We also have a prototype for the interface of the
environment. All tools are freely available to use in research and
non-profit activities.
