The research of the department concentrates on Mesh Processing, Free-Form Surfaces and Scientific Visualization, Facial Modeling and Animation, Scene Digitization and Acquisition of Deformable Models, Model-Based Motion Capture and Free Viewpoint Video, Realistic Hardware-Supported Shading and Lighting, Global Illumination, and the Perception Issues in Rendering and Animation.
