Flow behind a circular cylinder
Holger Theisel,
Tino Weinkauf, Hans-Christian Hege, Hans-Peter Seidel.
The image shows the visualization of the topological skeleton of a 3D
flow behind a circular cylinder. The present 13 critical points are
represented by suitable icons, while illuminated stream lines were
used to visualize the separation curves starting from the saddle
points. To show the separation surfaces starting form the saddles, the
concept of saddle connectors (red and blue ribbons) has been used. In
addition, two LIC planes are inserted into the visualization.
