- Since August 2009 I work for Nokia in Berlin. I am the team lead of a software development team. We develop backend services for Nokia maps. Our work is centered around geo-spatial information retrieval, collaborative filtering, and other machine learning-based solutions.
- In 2009, I received my doctoral degree (Dr. rer. nat.) with summa cum laude (with highest honor) from University of Potsdam, Germany. The topic of my doctoral thesis is "Learning under Differing Training and Test Distributions".
- Until 2008 I was research associate at the Max Planck Institute for Computer Science, Saarbrücken, Germany.
