• Q1.1 : What is Manued?
  
  A proofreading method proposed by Ikuo TAKEUCHI in the 39th programming symposium in Japan. Especially, this method is effective when you proofread electronic documents.
  
  
• Q1.2 : What is manued.el?
  An Emacs lisp program for supporting manued proofreading method. ``Manued.el'' has following features.
  • Hi-lighting the fixed point.
  • Extract revised document from manued document.
  • Extract original document from manued document.
  • Searching the fixed point.
  • Easy to input for manued command.
  • Redefine the manued symbols.

• Q2.1 : My documents always include `[]' characters, can manued proofread such documents?
  
  Yes, of course you can. Manued method defines a header to redefine manued symbols. You can vary this header at each document. Any strings not including white space can be a manued symbol. The header example is:

       def parentheses [ ]
       

  You can rewrite as follows.

       defparentheses <manued> </manued>
       

  Then you can chenge manued command to like HTML (SGML or XML) as follows.

       <manued>original/revised</manued>
       

  Other examples are:
  
  

  default: [ / ; ]

  [original/revised;comment]

  like sed: s/ / ; /g

  s/original/revised;comment/g

  like HTML, SGML, XML: <manued> <del></del> <com></com> </manued>

  <manued>original<del></del>revised<com></com>comment</manued>

  In multi-byte character environment,

  multi-byte parentheses are used.

  smile: [^_^ / ; ^_^]

  [^_^original/revised;comment^_^]

  other: { \ !! }

  Manued method also defines escape symbol to escape manued symbol. For example, if you want to write `[]' characters as non manued command, you can write `~[~]'. In default, character `~' is escape symbol of manued. Escape symbol is also be able to redefine with other strings and of course you can escape `escape symbol itself', like `~~'. However, too many escapes are harmful for proofreading. Please redefine manued symbols for easy reading.
