In the new season of "Ach, Mensch!", host Jessica Hughes explores with Max Planck researchers from computer science, the humanities, and social sciences the question of how humans and machines work together, challenge each other, and perhaps even redefine each other.
The podcasts are produced in cooperation between the Max Planck Society and the internet radio station detektor.fm, whose productions have received multiple awards including the Grimme Online Award and the German Radio Award. In "Ach, Mensch!", Max Planck researchers talk not only about their scientific findings. The focus is also on the personalities behind the research, their passion for their work, and everyday research life.
In the episode featuring Christian Theobalt, he talks about his works on 3D avatars, the opportunities and risks of generative AI, and why these findings could be applied both in the film industry and in medicine.
