Program

Here you can find the daily menu of our restaurant (Mensa). Using your coupons, you can get anything, except for the options at Mensa cafe. Note: In order to switch to English, you can select a date, and then click on the gear next to date. In the box that appears, at the bottom there is a dropdown for language with the word "Sprache". Choose English.

The lectures and the MPI talks will be held in the building E2.2 of our campus, in the Günter-Hotz-Hörsaal (the main lecture hall in the building). The remaining activities (registration, exercise sessions, poster session) will take place in the lobby of the MPI building E1.4 and the adjacent seminar rooms. Both buildings are best served by the bus stop Universität Mensa (see also Travel Information).

On Tuesday 19 August at 16:00, members of our Algorithms and Complexity Group at MPI-INF will introduce the group by presenting their own work. This year, we will feature four speakers from our institute:

• Karol Węgrzycki: A polynomial time OPT^ε-approximation algorithm for maximum independent set of connected subgraphs in a planar graph [slides]
• Nidhi Rathi: Epistemic EFX Allocations Exist for Monotone Valuations [slides]
• Anita Dürr: Fine-Grained Complexity of Ambiguity Problems on Automata [slides]
• Aryan Agarwala: Bipartite Matching is in Catalytic Logspace [slides]

On Tuesday 19 August at 17:30–18:30, we will organize a dedicated poster session where you will have an opportunity to display your own work to fellow participants.

Details

We will hold the poster session in the lobby of the MPI building E1.4. For best results, your poster should be A0 (vertical) or A1 (vertical or horizontal). We will set up self-standing poster boards for you in the morning so that you can hang your poster in advance.

On Wednesday (Aug 20) afternoon, we will be taking a break from the lectures – instead, we will organize an excursion to "Abenteuerpark Saar" which is a nearby adventure/climbing park.
